In 2023, Petrosea completed the transaction to acquire 100% shares of PT Kemilau Mulia Sakti, which owns 99% shares of PT Cristian Eka Pratama (CEP), a coal mining company with its operating area located in West Kutai, East Kalimantan.

The acquisition was a form of Petrosea’s business expansion through mine ownership and diversification of its portfolio into other mineral sectors by providing integrated mining and EPC services.

CEP owns coal reserves with identified resources of 164.1 million tons, mineable reserves in the amount of 82 million tons and overburden removal volume of 549 million BCM with long term stripping ratio approximately 6.7 times with an area of 4,776 hectares.

In 2023, CEP’s coal production volume reached 250.85 thousand tons with a sales volume of 199.73 thousand tons since June 2023 and contributed US$7.68 million or 1.33% of the Company’s total revenue.
